Thanks for the prompt reply. I've read the same advice on a lot of posts, so it seems like this is the way to go about things. Again however, it's all well and good paying money to get certified, but without experience and skills under my belt, will I be essentially unemployable? Do I need to look into abseiling, rock-climbing, window cleaning etc on the side in order to make myself more employable? Are rope access jobs numerous? Hi everyone, My name is James and I'm new to the forum. I'm 31 years old and very interested in getting into the renewables sector, specifically wind energy and blade repair. I'm aware this question has probably been asked hundreds of times on here, but I can't find much recent information. I gather the Siemens 3-week 'Basic Blade B' course in Denmark is the best option if I want to get into blade repair. How does this course compare to the courses offered by Altitec, Maersk and Siemens in the UK? Is it more transferable across different companies, specifications and countries?
