Rope access rigger route

Hi I just passed my level 1 irata and my company will be sending me for NDT level 1.

I want to specialise in rigging but am not sure how to go about it.

Is Opito the gold standard in the industry?

I understand stage 1 is just a test but how do you become stage 2, it's a bit confusing and can a stage 1 rigger get a job?

Any other information will help, thanks in advance.

NDT covers a variety of different subjects, with most of them paying more than rigging - which NDT discipline are you doing?  OPITO is a global standard and recognized everywhere, the Level 2 training is 'hands on' and can be done by anyone who has passed the L1 theory. The L2 will allow you to work under supervision on rigging projects - once you have enough experience you can take your L3 rigger training and exam.

That's a surprise, I actually thought rigging would pay more as there are so many people doing inspection.

I'll be taking UTG first.

So rigger stage 2 can be done at a training centre? From the website it says it should be done on the job so I got confused.

I plan to get into stage rigging which is why I'm considering doing oil and gas rigging first since there aren't much events now but if the money is better in inspection that'd be a tough choice.
